Rob Reich  

Director of the Center for Ethics in Society, Associate Director of the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Initiative, & Political Science Professor at Stanford University

Rob Reich is a professor of political science and, by courtesy, professor of philosophy at the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University, where he directs the Center for Ethics in Society, co-directs the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, and is associate director of the Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence initiative.

Focusing his work on ethics, public policy, and technology, Reich authored Just Giving: Why Philanthropy is Failing Democracy and How It Can Do Better. A former sixth-grade teacher, he has received multiple teaching awards, including the Walter J. Gores Award. Reich serves on the boards of Boston Review magazine and the Spencer Foundation.
