Robert Dallek is an acclaimed historian of the American presidency and author of a landmark biography of President John F. Kennedy.

Dallek stands in the front ranks of contemporary historians, having produced a body of work that explores critical issues rich in relevance to our current domestic and international crises. The recurring theme in Dallek's history could not be timelier: the nature of leadership in a world beset by problems of perilous urgency.

In An Unfinished Life, Dallek tells the dramatic story of the troubled life and times of President Kennedy, creating a vivid portrait of a bold, brave, human Kennedy, once again a hero.

Dallek is the author of six previous books, including a two volume biography of Lyndon Johnson: Flawed Giant and Lone Star Rising. He also authored Franklin D. Roosevelt and American Foreign Policy, which won the prestigious Bancroft Prize, as well as The American Style of Foreign Policy. He is a frequent commentator on many radio and television shows, including NPR, CNN, and NBC, on a wide range of subjects concerning current events and foreign policy.
