Robert L. (Bob) McCullough
Co-host of Where Hollywood Hides iTunes Podcast-The classic world of Movies, TV, Music & Celebrities
As a co-host of Where Hollywood Hides, you can join the fun on the weekly podcasts as Bob McCullough and Suzanne Herrera McCullough share strictly personal experiences and intimate perspectives of the entertainment industry from the inside out.
Bob McCullough was born in Torrance, Ca., attended Beverly Hills High School, USC (B.A.), University of Texas (M.A.), American Film Institute (MFA), and Southwestern University Law School (J.D.).
He wrote his first complete story ("Johnny Jet's Race Car") at age 7.
Initially guided by industry legends like Grant Tinker (MTM Productions), Bruce Geller, Al Ruddy, Garry Marshall, Fred Silverman, and Lew Wasserman, Bob's first credits included production work on shows like the original "Mission: Impossible", "Mannix", "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In", "Star Trek", "The Immortal", "Happy Days", "The Odd Couple", "Laverne & Shirley", "Love, American Style", "The Sandy Duncan Show", "The Young Lawyers", "Longstreet", and Bob's personal and deeply intellectual favorite, "Me & the Chimp".
After writing sketches for Paul King on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" and for Jim Parker on ABC's "Love, American Style", his production work on Universal TV's "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" led to his first full writing credits and membership in the Writers'Guild of America.
With that initial success, Bob dropped his burgeoning legal career and took "the road less traveled by".
From that point on, Bob's career accelerated, leading to script assignments under creative visionaries like Glen Larson, Earl Hamner, Aaron Spelling, Howard W. Koch, and Jerry Bruckheimer on such iconic shows as "B.J. and the Bear", "The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo", "JAG", "Eight Is Enough", "Galactica", "Baywatch Nights", "Pacific Blue", "Kung Fu", "Star Trek: The Next Generation", and "Fathers and Sons".
Bob's ability to deliver cutting-edge plots and ironic dialogue, coupled with his prior "in the trenches" budget-driven production background quickly led him into directing and producing responsibilities on shows like "Zorro", "Falcon Crest", "Hollywood Wives", "Dark Mansions", and "Soldier of Fortune".
Bob was the founder partner of MyCreativity.com and California Beach Company LLC, and remains active in entrepreneurial marketing and Internet business development.
Bob is now partnered with his wife, actress/writer Suzanne Herrera, in bringing their stories about the world of Classic TV & Film to an exploding podcast and web audience.
It's all unpredictable and always surprising as this creative husband & wife team opens up the memory vaults of their long film, television, music, and modeling careers.
This is where you'll learn how “normal” people fled from the world of routine ambitions and careers and found themselves right in the middle of the most exciting and energized showbiz era since the “talkies” brought movies to life.
