Bob Vetere is founder of the Human Animal Bond Research Initiative. The former president and CEO of the American Pet Products Association for over 16 years, he has led pet-industry initiatives including the formation of the Pet Leadership Council to strengthen and advance the pet industry, as well as Pets Add Life, a national social media campaign promoting responsible pet ownership.

An industry spokesperson, Vetere has written guest columns for Pet Business and Pet Product News and appeared on CNN, ABC’s “World News Tonight,” and CNBC. He authored From Wags to Riches: How Dogs Teach Us to Succeed in Business and Life. Previously, Vetere was senior vice president at Oil-Dri Corporation of America.
