Actress, Author & Domestic Abuse Awareness Advocate

Robin Givens is an award-winning actress, director, author, and advocate for women’s rights who has been a powerful force in Hollywood for more than three decades.

Givens is a fierce advocate, in particular for women who are victims of abuse. She has encouraged them, inspired them and lived a life that gives evidence to thriving after trauma. A career in acting has given Givens the opportunity not only to work with, but to learn from some of the most powerful women on the planet, including Oprah Winfrey, the late Cicely Tyson ("The Women of Brewster Place"), Faye Dunaway ("Beverly Hills Madam"), Alfre Woodard, and Taraji P. Henson ("The Family that Preys").

Givens recently found herself in the enviable position of having four prestigious television projects on the air at the same time. This indefatigable woman appeared on the hit CW series “Riverdale” as Sierra McCoy, the former mayor and mother to Josie of Josie and the Pussycats. In 2019, she appeared as Julianne Johnson in ABC’s limited series “The Fix,” from Marcia Clark playing the ex-wife of Sevvy (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), an A-list actor accused of murder. In 2019, she also took on the lead in the series “Ambitions” from producer Will Packer and Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network. She played Stephanie Carlisle, the wife of the mayor of Atlanta, whose true loyalty is to her family’s prestigious law firm, which she is lobbying to run.

After nearly 4 decades of experience and the depth of wisdom experience can bring, Givens made her critically acclaimed directorial debut in "Murder to Remember" for Lifetime Movie Network. She has proven to be a skilled and now sought-after director. Since that initial movie, she has directed two more and is currently working on a 4th.
