Advocate for Children with Special Needs & Mother of “Glee” Actress Lauren Potter

Robin Sinkhorn is a retired nurse and advocate for children with special needs. Sinkhorn is the mother of "Glee" actress Lauren Potter, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth.

Both Sinkhorn and Potter actively advocate for those with disabilities through organizations including AbilityPath, Best Buddies International, the Down Syndrome Association, the American Association of People with Disabilities, and Special Olympics.

Sinkhorn, who studied nursing at the University of Phoenix, was a registered nurse. She began working at Boehringer Ingelheim in 2009 as a clinical science consultant and, in 2016, was promoted to the role of Medical Science Liaison for the Cardiovascular/Metabolic division. In this role, Sinkhorn was responsible for establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with scientific experts. She functioned as an extension of the medical information group to provide product and pipeline therapeutic area expertise to internal stakeholders within medical and commercial groups at Boehringer Ingelheim. In September 2019, she began serving as the Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison in the Cardio/Metabolic at Boehringer Ingelheim.

Sinkhorn has strong research and professional skills in business planning, medical affairs, sales, medical devices, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, and good clinical practice.
