Robyn O’Brien is a thought leader who is often referred to as “Food’s Erin Brockovich.” She is the co-founder of rePlant Capital, a firm that specializes in scaling climate solutions in food and agriculture. Additionally, O’Brien is the chief operating officer at Montcalm, an impact investment firm. She is a Fulbright scholar, best-selling author, and widely recognized global speaker, with a focus on courage, leadership, health and wellness, food systems, and motivation. Her speaking engagements have taken her to prestigious platforms such as Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley, Google, and the Aspen Idea Institute.

In 2020, O’Brien was recognized by the Forbes Impact 50 List for her significant contributions to the intersection of agriculture, food, and climate. Beyond this recognition, her influence extends to her widely viewed TED talk, which has garnered over 1.5 million views, been translated into dozens of languages, and has been instrumental in influencing global food policy. O'Brien's work has been featured in major publications such as the New York Times, People, and Forbes and has received recognition from notable figures like Ted Turner and King Charles.

As an author, O'Brien has written the critically acclaimed books "The Unhealthy Truth: How Our Food is Making Us Sick and What We Can Do About It" and "Seeding Innovation: The Path to Purpose and Profit in the 21st Century." Her book "The Unhealthy Truth" was published by Random House in 2009 and is now used in academic settings around the world. Alongside her books, O'Brien has contributed to several other works on leadership, food, climate, and the environment. Besides her authorship, she was also an executive producer for the award-winning documentary "Common Ground."

Beyond her professional career, O’Brien is the founder of AllergyKids Foundation, an organization that addresses the needs of children with food allergies and sensitivities. When she isn't working or writing, O’Brien fulfills her role as an adjunct professor at Rice University’s business school and is a loving mother of four.
