Roderick Townsend

High Jump World Record Holder; Three-Time Paralympic Gold Medalist

Roderick Townsend is quickly becoming a highly sought after keynote speaker as he continues to build his legacy on the track as a 3x Paralympic Gold medalist. His story is not one of an athlete; but one of an everyday person who constantly fights and strives for his dreams and passions. Due to complications at birth that caused permanent nerve damage, Townsend has limited functionality in his right arm but he knew that to succeed he had no choice but to play the hand that life dealt him. It’s important to understand that everyone has challenges in their lives, mountain tops to climb and rough terrain to navigate through; however, it’s those battle scars that truly transforms people into the people that they want to become.
