Rodney Rothman is an award-winning writer, producer and director. He began working as a writer for the Late Show with David Letterman in the 1990s before becoming head writer and producer in 1998. He is known for his work with comedy films, including "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "22 Jump Street," and "Pop Star."

He co-wrote and co-directed the critically acclaimed, animated Sony Pictures film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse." The film received praise from comic book fans and the film industry, garnering a number of awards for animation. It received the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 91st Annual Academy Awards in 2019.

Rothman is set to write and direct an upcoming spin-off in the "21 Jump Street" series. He is also writing, directing and producing a sci-fi comedy film titled "The Something."
