Roger Staubach

Businessman; Heisman Trophy Winner & Hall of Fame Quarterback

Roger Staubach is a former NFL player and executive chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle, an investment and real estate company.

After winning the Heisman Trophy at the Naval Academy, Staubach fulfilled a four year active duty commitment with the United States Navy, including a tour in Vietnam, and then began his NFL career.

Staubach joined the Dallas Cowboys during 1969 and played his entire 11 years there. He was with the team for five Super Bowls, four of them as the starting quarterback. The Cowboys won Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII. Staubach was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl VI, becoming the first of four players to win both the Heisman Trophy and Super Bowl MVP. His uncanny ability to lead the Dallas Cowboys to come-from-behind victories engineered no less than 23 fourth quarter comebacks (one of his nicknames is "Captain Comeback"). His pro career culminated in his selection into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985, his first year of eligibility.

In 1977, Staubach entered the commercial real estate industry, forming The Staubach Company. Over the years, he expanded services to meet clients ever changing requirements and grew to 1,600 employees serving 3,000+ clients from 70 North American offices. In July 2008, The Staubach Company merged with Jones Lang LaSalle; Staubach serves as executive chairman.
