Romitha Mally

Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at UBS

A vice chairman of Investment Banking at UBS, Romitha Mally has helped orchestrate mergers between indie brands and big conglomerates including Unilever’s acquisition of the Dollar Shave Club, Sundial Brands, and The Laundress (the CEO of each company stayed on post-acquisition). In her role, Mally helps founders craft their brand stories to make them compelling to larger buyers, and helps large brands understand indie brands’ niche market appeal. She has also taken companies public, including Blue Buffalo, the sale of which she also negotiated to General Mills in a deal that was valued at $8 billion in 2018. Prior to UBS, Mally served as managing director and head of consumer corporate advisory for North America at Greenhill & Co, and prior to that, she was a managing director at JPMorgan in their Consumer and Retail Group.
