Ron Cook is an English actor known for Hot Fuzz, The Merchant of Venice and Chocolat. He has performed on stage, in films and on television.

On stage, he has been nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Bets Supporting Actor, has played Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night and Polonius in Hamlet at the West End, appeared as The Fool in the Derek Jacobi-led production of King Lear and played Pistol in a production of Henry V featuring Jude Law in the title role.

In addition, he has been in the original productions of many plays including Our Country's Good, The Seafarer, The Children and more.

In television, he has been in numerous productions, including The Black Adder, Bergerac, Doctor Who and more. He also had major roles in several installments of the BBC's The Complete Dramatic Works of William Shakespeare, portraying Richard III, and Richard, Duke of Gloucester. Most recently, he appeared as a maternity ward doctor in the hit HBO mini-series, Chernobyl.

His film experience has included playing George Merchant in Hot Fuzz, playing Napoleon Bonaparte (twice), playing Parker in Thunderbirds and more. He has also acted in BBC's radio dramas, performing as Captain Wragge in an adaptation of the Wilkie Collins novel, "No Name," and as Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol
