Deputy Director of the National Accounts Department,Central Bank of the Dominican Republic

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She Graduated with honors from the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Specialization in Mathematics at Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and Master of Arts in Economics at Northeastern University. Since 2007 she has been working at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, currently as Deputy Director of the National Accounts and Economic Statistics Department, where she is responsible for the quarterly and annual estimate of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Previously she worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) from 2005 to 2007, conducting social and economic research and also participating in activities with strong social impact. In 2009 she was awarded with the Fulbright Scholarship from the Department of State of the United States and the Organization of American States (OAS) Scholarship for Academic Studies. In the academic field, she has been assistant professor of National Accounts as well as Monetary Policy and Theory at PUCMM. Recently, she has been hired as a professor to teach the introductory class of economics for undergraduate students at PUCMM.
