Ross McCray

Co-Founder & CEO at VideoAmp

My life’s mission is to continually foster exponential global impact by leveraging emerging technologies and empowering change makers.

I have never done well following standards and obsess in finding better ways to do things. I thrive in highly competitive environments and love pushing myself out of my comfort zone. It’s very hard for me to dip my toes into anything and 9/10 times have to dive in head first. I easily obsess over things, have an addictive personality and am known to be extreme at times. I believe how you do one thing is how you do everything.

I am a naturally very curious person that has this unhealthy desire to learn what makes everything tick. I love being active and have to exercise at least once a day. I probably use the word ROI more than anyone you know and am used to people telling me it’s not healthy. I have no clue what work/life balance is as my work is my life’s mission and my life’s mission is my work. I believe success is measured by how much of your potential is realized.

I am heavily biased towards action, am not afraid to make mistakes so long I learn from them and the only thing that bothers me more than lazy people are those with excuses. I am continually inspired by high performers and love learning from them.

I grew up in Southern California and have been developing software my entire life. I started University at UCI when I was 13 and later dropped out of UCLA to focus full time on entrepreneurism. I am really passionate about living life, startups, artificial intelligence, empowering change makers, staying healthy and nerding out on life hacks.

I previously was the Head of Product & Technology of Channel Factory where we bootstrapped the business to help a majority of the Fortune 500 brands grow their YouTube presence. Today I am focusing all my time at VideoAmp helping keep the internet free by enabling advertisers and content owners transact across all screens in this new multi-device world.
