Growing up in a financially unstable home, Ross has been dedicated to give back to his community, recently forming the Ross Powers Foundation in Vermont for talented athletes needing financial assistance.

Ross learned to snowboard on Bromley Mountain, where his mother worked on the weekends. Interests include skateboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, soccer, surfing, and moto-cross.
