Roza Selimyan, Ph.D.

I am a three-time cancer survivor and a scientist in the fields of Genetics and Molecular Biology. During my journey to healing and recovery, I have learned a lot about health - learned about things that one cannot necessarily find in the medical or biolo

I am an active advocate and a strong believer in the marriage of the "western" and holistic medicines. They should not exist separately, but should work together.  I see it as the best and the only right way of treating the person.

I am originally from Armenia, where I graduated with Diploma with Honors from the Yerevan State University (Specialty: Molecular Biology and Genetics). I then went to Germany to work on my Ph.D. thesis (Specialty: Molecular Biology), after completion of which I moved to the United States. I have been working at the National Institutes of Health since 2004.

On my path to recovery, I have seen first hand how huge is the need for education and communication with the patients, healthy people and even health care providers about the choices that they can make in order to prevent, reverse or improve the medical conditions that they are dealing with or are at the risk of developing.

Below is the selected list of my talks (including the scheduled ones). Currently I am working on a book. My website, which is dedicated to health, will launch on 03.21.2012.  Also, I will be happy to provide my CV or any other information that might be needed.
