Ruby Rose Langenheim, known as Ruby Rose, is an Australian model, actress, television presenter, and musician. Rose first began her career as a presenter on MTV Australia from 2007 to 2011, advancing to high-profile modeling gigs, including serving as the face of Maybelline New York in Australia. She also co-hosted various television shows, such as Australia's "Next Top Model" and "The Project on Network Ten."

Rose began her acting career in 2008, notably appearing in the drama "Around the Block." Her global recognition expanded with her role in season three of the Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black." She also starred in large roles in action films like Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, XXX: Return of Xander Cage, John Wick: Chapter 2, and was a co-star in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect 3 and the monster film The Meg. Rose also appeared in the inaugural season of the CW television series "Batwoman" as the lead role of Kate Kane, becoming the first openly lesbian lead superhero on television, although she departed from the role after the first season.

Identifying as non-binary and genderfluid, Rose is an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. She has experienced bullying and has openly discussed her struggles with mental health, including her battles with clinical depression and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Rose has also been candid about her experiences with past suicide attempts, contributing to important dialogues around these pressing issues.
