Ruth King      

Author, Educator, Former Development Consultant to Intel & Levi Strauss

Ruth King is a celebrated author, educator, life coach, and meditation teacher. Formally an organizational development consultant to Intel and Levi Strauss corporations, King currently teaches meditation retreats worldwide and serves on the Teacher's Council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center. She teaches the Mindful of Race Training Program to teams and organizations, blending mindfulness principles with an exploration of our racial conditioning, its impact, and our potential.

King has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, Orinda, CA, and is the author of several publications including her most recent, "Mindful of Race: Transforming Racism From The Inside Out".

World travel has influenced King's intuitive and ceremonial style as she weaves Western psychology, Buddhist philosophy, indigenous wisdom, and human experience. King, heart activist, African American, and native Californian, living over 25 years in the Bay Area, currently resides in Charlotte, NC, with wife, Dr. Barbara Riley.

Both dynamic and compassionate, King speaks to the heart of her audiences with audacity, authenticity and joy.
