Emmy-Award Nominated Director of "The Case Against 8"

Ryan White is a documentary filmmaker who directed and produced Ask Dr. Ruth, a film about sex therapist Ruth Westheimer that premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2019. He was director and executive producer of The Keepers, an Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary series. Additionally, he was a producer, director, and writer on The Case Against 8, the HBO documentary about the legal battle over marriage equality that won a directing award from the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, was nominated for two Emmys, and was shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Documentary. White was director and producer of Good Ol’ Freda, which tells the story of The Beatles’ longtime secretary Freda Kelly and Pelada, a journey around the world through the lens of pick-up soccer.

Additionally, White directed the documentary Serena about tennis athlete Serena Williams.
