Ryan Williams is the co-founder and president of Jopwell. Prior to founding Jopwell, Williams worked as an analyst in foreign exchange sales at Goldman Sachs, on the same trading floor as co-founder Porter Braswell. During his time on Wall Street, he developed a passion for both broadening the conversation around diversity in the workplace and increasing opportunities available to underrepresented groups. In 2014, Williams left Wall Street, joined forces with Porter, and launched Jopwell to create a measurable solution and provide connections and resources for Black, Latino/Hispanic and Native American talent to unlock opportunities for career advancement.

Together, Williams and Porter have led Jopwell from an online platform with dozens of America’s leading companies as partners, to an essential resource that facilitates thousands of connections between its community and partner employers. Spanning finance, technology, healthcare, sports and publishing, among other industries, Jopwell counts Airbnb, BlackRock, Pinterest, The San Francisco 49ers, Bloomberg and Northwell Health among its many partner companies.

Jopwell participated in Y Combinator’s summer 2015 class, garnering support and funding from notable investors like Magic Johnson Enterprises, Andreessen Horowitz, Kapor Capital, Omidyar Network, Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers.

Recently named to the Forbes 2018 "30 Under 30" list, Williams was also featured on Fast Company’s 2017 “100 Most Creative People in Business” and Inc. Magazine’s 2016 “30 Under 30” lists, which highlight creative minds and rising entrepreneurs across industries. He has shared his advice and expertise at a wide variety of events, including being a featured speaker at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, the Peer 150 HR National Summit, the DISC Sports Diversity & Inclusion Symposium and NABA, Inc. events, among others.

Williams earned his degree in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
