S.E. Cupp is a CNN political commentator and practical conservative known for her straightforward and insightful perspective on politics and media. Cupp most recently hosted "SE Cupp Unfiltered" on CNN, a weekly program that explored the dynamic intersection of politics and media. Before that, she conducted a panel-driven show on HLN that debated contemporary issues affecting the country. She joined CNN as a contributor in 2013 and became a host on HLN in 2017.

Before her tenure at CNN and HLN, Cupp hosted digital series "S.E. Cupp’s Outside With Insiders" on CNN.com, where she engaged political insiders in outdoor settings. Past guests included notable political figures such as Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) and Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC). From 2013 to 2014, she co-hosted "Crossfire" on CNN, a revived political debate show alongside panelists Newt Gingrich, Stephanie Cutter, and Van Jones. Prior to joining CNN, she co-hosted MSNBC’s roundtable show, "The Cycle."

Cupp continues her role as a nationally syndicated political columnist, culture critic, author, and consultant. She writes regularly for the New York Daily News, Glamour, and CNN.com. Her authored works include "Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media's Attack on Christianity" and she co-authored "Why You're Wrong About the Right" with Brett Joshpe. Cupp has also provided her expertise as a consultant for notable television shows such as Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show" and HBO's "The Newsroom." Additionally, she has contributed to TheBlaze's "Real News" and serves as a contributing editor for Townhall Magazine.

Originally from Massachusetts and having moved from Washington, D.C. to Connecticut, Cupp now operates out of the CNN New York bureau. She is an alumna of Cornell University, where she serves on the advisory board for their Institute of Politics and Global Affairs, and holds a master's degree from New York University. Outside of her professional endeavors, Cupp enjoys outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. She is married and has one son.
