Sabrina Wu is a Brooklyn based actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. They gained prominence for their role in the Lionsgate comedy "Joy Ride," directed by Adele Lim and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Wu's comedic prowess has garnered recognition from several publications and platforms, including Just for Laughs, Variety, and Vulture. In 2022, they were selected as a New Face of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and named as one of the 10 Comics to Watch for 2023 by Variety Magazine. In 2023, Wu's performance in "Joy Ride" earned the CinemaCon Ensemble of the Year Award.

Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Wu discovered their passion for stand-up at 16, performing first at their high school talent shows. Their career continued to ascend in 2022 when they made their late-night stand-up debut on "The Tonight Show." Leading up to this, Wu had been a regular performer at venues such as Union Hall and the Bell House in New York City, where they were highlighted during the New York Comedy Festival.

In addition to their acting and stand-up career, Wu has also made significant contributions as a writer. They served as a staff writer on the Disney+ series "Doogie Kameāloha M.D." and are currently contributing to an unnamed Netflix series executive produced by Mike Schur. Recently, Wu sold their pilot to 20th Century Studios, and they have been cast in a main role in the upcoming comedy pilot for FX directed by Lauren Ludwig. In 2024, Wu expanded their acting repertoire with a guest role on the television show "Abbott Elementary," where they portrayed the character Mx. Cassidy Geoffrey.
