Sally Strackbein

Do you need to tell stories? Only if you want to be understood & remembered. Presentation Skills & Business Storytelling programs

Sally Strackbein is a speaker, storyteller, and recovering techie. She started out as a computer programmer. What made her a good one was her ability to draw out her clients' stories -- stories about what frustrated them. Stories about what they dreamed a program could do to make their lives easier. Their stories were the keys to creating great programs.

Later, she became Coordinator of Administrative Computing at Occidental College. She managed the implementation of a major new software system for the college.

To sell the system's design, features, and benefits to the faculty, administration, and staff, she told stories: stories about the clunky old system, and stories of her vision of the future. She also listened to the stories of the concerns and dreams of the students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Storytelling and story listening led to a smooth project that was completed in half the expected time.

Sally now helps people be better communicators. She offers coaching, presentations, and workshops on presentation skills and business storytelling.

"Sally Strackbein's instruction had a dramatic effect on my public speaking, both in terms of content and presentation. I am so grateful to her for opening my eyes to how to connect with my audience."

-Ronald Kessler, New York Times Best Selling Author

"It's hard to be more successful if you can't get up and talk in front of people. The confidence Sally gave me -- that was amazing."
