Salomon Ligthelm is a self-taught film-maker, with a background in music and sound design. He hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, but lived in Dubai and Sydney prior to moving to New York City with his wife and son.

His textural & experimental work finds new ways of exploring visual storytelling, and seeks to blur the lines between narrative and documentary film-making.

He is currently exploring emotional narratives with a unique cultural or sub-cultural perspective, working on projects that explores the human condition.
