Sam Jay, an accomplished writer and comedian, is recognized for her significant contributions to the comedy industry. Her notable journey began with "Saturday Night Live," where she served as a writer from 2017 to 2020. Her unique perspective and sharp wit led to her receiving Emmy nominations in 2018 and 2019 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. Additionally, the Writers Guild of America recognized her in 2020 for Best Comedy/Variety—Sketch Series for "Saturday Night Live."

Further expanding her creative prowess, Jay released her Netflix comedy special "3 in the Morning" in 2020.
