Sam is General Manager of Airbnb for Australia and New Zealand. With over 1.5 million listings in 191 countries and 34,000 cities, it is one of the world’s fastest growing companies. Prior to this, Sam was GM, advisor and investor in US based DollarShaveClub.com's Australian business, via the privately held Deeperwater Ventures, which he established on returning to Australia in 2008 after almost 10 years with eBay. Sam held various roles at eBay, including Finance Director of eBay Australia at launch and subsequent senior management positions in the US, including Director – Category Management, and Asia as GM of eBay Southeast Asia. Current role aside, he credits this experience as his greatest influence. Post eBay, Sam was General Manager of ThinkSmart’s Australian operations and CMO at iiNet. Originally from Perth, Sam lives in Sydney with his family and Jet – the black dog.
