Prior to joining Politico, he served as politics editor for The Daily Beast and as senior politics editor for the Huffington Post. He is a regular contributor and guest host on MSNBC.

He resides in Washington D.C. with his wife and two kids and an aging beagle dog who he, somehow, still manages to love.
