Actor & Musician; Known for "Being Human"

Sam Wiwer is an actor and musician who has appeared in individual episodes of numerous television shows as well as minor recurring characters in shows such as "Battlestar Galactica," "Smallville," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Dexter."

Witwer's first on-screen credit was that of a Chicago Bulls commercial, followed by numerous speaking roles on hit television series, such as "ER," "Jag," "Dark Angel," "Angel" and "Star Trek: Enterprise," before his first major recurring role in "Battlestar Galactica."

From 2008 to 2009, Witwer was cast Season 8 of "Smallville" as Davis Bloome, which opened a multitude of opportunities, and eventually led to him voicing The Son & Dark Maul in the 2011 "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," for which he earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program. He later reprised the role in "Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out" and "Star Wars Rebels." He lent his voice for Darth Maul in other projects such as the Star Wars: Episode I Brisk commercial as well as the Cartoon Network TV special Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out.

Witwer has held longstanding roles in shows including the North American remake of "Being Human," followed by appearances in 'Rosewood," "Once Upon a Time," "Supergirl," and "Riverdale."

Witwer states that his first love is music and he is consequently the lead singer of his own band: "The Crashtones". They released their first CD, entitled "Colorful of the Stereo" in 2006. Witwer has since assembled a live line-up consisting of professional musicians and others, including Glenn Howerton of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" with whom he plays gigs whenever time allows it.
