Travel Expert & Host of "Samantha Brown's Places to Love"

Samantha Brown is an Emmy award-winning television host and travel expert. Over the last 17 years, Samantha has traveled around the world visiting over 250 cities in 62 countries and 40 of the United States creating over 160 hours of programming.

Brown got her start in 1999 when she was chosen to be a travel host for the Travel Channel. A decade of series followed, including Great Hotels, Girl Meets Hawaii, Passport to Europe, Passport to Latin America, Green Getaways, Passport to China, Great Weekends and Samantha Brown’s Asia. In 2017, Samantha moved from Travel Channel to PBS and created her new show there called Samantha Brown’s Places to Love. Samantha’s fun-loving style has made her a revered and engaging television personality whose approach is less expert, less host and more a person you would want to travel with.

Samantha Brown’s Places to Love first aired in early 2018. The show seeks out "the little known spots and haunts where innovators and disrupters are creating a brand new travel experience. Whether it’s food and drink, art and design, culture or adventure, at the end of each episode viewers will have a well curated list of experiences that focus on not just how to visit a destination but how to belong to it."

In March 2019, Samantha Brown's Places to Love received three Daytime Emmy nominations, for Outstanding Travel/Adventure Program, Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle Program, and Outstanding Host in a Lifestyle Program. On May 3, 2019, Samantha Brown's Places to Love won the Emmy for Outstanding Travel/Adventure Program and Brown won the Emmy for Outstanding Host.

In 2011 Samantha debuted her stylish line of luggage on the Home Shopping Network. The line quickly became a “customer pick” and went on to be one of the top brand launches for the year.
