Kalwani earned his B.S. in electrical engineering and psychology at the University of Illinois and then received his MBA at Harvard. Before founding Sarvajal, he worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting. In addition to Sarvajal, he also founded Ideatopia in august 2008. Ideatopia provides support to any individual, community group of non-government organization that dedicated its efforts to improving a local economy.
