In addition to covering solar, wind, and grid-related equities, he produced a daily energy tech newsletter for RBC clients. After leaving RBC in February 2010, he embarked on a five-month, 15,000-mile road trip across North America to research a book on the energy industry. The book soon evolved into a startup, which became Delve in early 2012. Ayyappan graduated from Yale in 2007.
