Award-Winning German Actress Known for "The Zone of Interest" & "Anatomy of a Fall"

Sandra Hüller, a celebrated German actress, has an extensive body of work that spans across different film industries, including German, Austrian, American, British, and French. Hüller's breakthrough performance came in 2006 when she was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actress for her role in Requiem. She further cemented her status as a distinguished actress by winning the European Film Award for Best Actress in 2016 for her role in Toni Erdmann, becoming the only German actress to win both prestigious awards in the 21st century.

She continued to deliver compelling performances, earning international recognition in 2023 for her starring roles in The Zone of Interest and Anatomy of a Fall which both premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. These performances not only earned her two BAFTA Film Award nominations, a Golden Globe nomination, and an Academy Award nomination but also led to her winning a European Film Award for Anatomy of a Fall. Hüller's talent extended to the portrayal of historical figures as well, most notably Irma Sztáray in the film Sisi & I.

Beyond her film career, Hüller has a strong presence in the theater, being recognized with the Best Young Actress award presented by Theater Heute in 2003 and later the Best Actress award by the same organization in 2013. Further accolades include the esteemed Gertrud-Eysoldt-Ring in 2019 and the Theaterpreis Berlin presented by the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung in 2020. In 2020, she was also awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, marking her influence and contribution to arts and culture.
