Sara Lazarus established Faded Jeans Technology with the goal of providing top-notch security and IT solutions to organizations of all sizes. The company offers effective cybersecurity practices, allowing customers to concentrate on their core mission and succeed in today’s digital landscape. In her role as Chief Information Security Officer, Lazarus is dedicated to implementing practical, business-enabling security solutions and fostering psychologically safe, high-performing technical teams.

Prior to founding Faded Jeans Technology, Lazarus was the Head of Trust and Security at Stavvy, an early stage fintech company where she grew the security, cloud engineering, and corporate IT teams from a green field into a happy and high achieving workforce. Previously, she was responsible for a world class 24 x 7 x 365 Computer Security Incident Response Team protecting Salesforce’s most secure environments.

Earlier in her career, Lazarus led a team safeguarding government client networks as part of a Managed Detection and Response service provider. As an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, she taught a course on the foundational elements of cyber security. She began her career as a business technology analyst with Deloitte Consulting, subsequently working as a Project Management Professional focusing on technology portfolio and performance management for US Department of Defense clients before joining Raytheon's Cyber Exploitation Unit.

Lazarus holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland.
