Armed with an undergraduate degree in sociology, Sara views the world in terms of wide social and cultural trends. She began as an architecture major at the University of Maryland but quickly shifted her focus to sociology and economics when she realized how much drawing was involved. Since joining the U.S. Green Building Council over three years ago, Sara has lead outreach to the hospitality sector, worked on development of resources and new LEED credits, and spoken at numerous industry conferences and events. She also has experience working with Fortune 500 C-Suite executives on supply chain, corporate real estate, and sustainability issues. Sara loves to travel, cook, read, and play soccer. She believes passionately in open, direct, and honest communication.
