Sara Shnider is the executive director of Prize4Life, a non-profit organization focused on accelerating therapy development for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Prize4Life creates incentive challenges and infrastructure resources aimed at attracting new minds to ALS research and overcoming critical barriers to drug development for this disease. Prior to Prize4Life, Sara was a senior industry contracts officer at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where we managed negotiation of contractual agreements between the university and industry partners for basic and clinical research projects. She earned a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from Harvard University, an MSc in bioinformatics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and a BSc in biology from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
