Comedian & Author of "100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings"

Sarah Cooper is a writer and comedian and has been performing and producing comedy for over 10 years. She built her comedy career in between working for companies like Yahoo! and Google, where, as a user experience designer, she was fed free lunches and lots of material.

She is the creator of satirical blog, which attracts over 100,000 readers per month. Her work has appeared on Forbes, The Washington Post, Fast Company, and Business Insider. Cooper has over 15 years experience in the corporate world, leading to her first viral article and the subject of her first book, 100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings.

Cooper has been performing stand-up comedy since 2010, getting her start at the Laughing Skull Lounge in Atlanta, and eventually performing in New York City at Broadway Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club and Comedy Cellar.

In 2015, Cooper moved to San Francisco and began speaking at companies like Facebook and Google, as well as several conferences including Lean Startup Week, Inbound, and FunnyBizz.

Since leaving Google, Cooper has written two bestselling books, 100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings (October 2016) and How to Be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings (November 2018), and has been featured featured on Kara Swisher’s Recode Decode podcast, The New Yorker Talk of the Town, The Times UK, The Washington Post, Forbes, and countless other publications.

In 2017, Cooper was on the writing team for SOMA The Musical, a comedy musical about Silicon Valley, and she was named one of the 20 Hottest Bay Area Innovators by 7x7 Magazine.

In 2019, Cooper became a writer/correspondent for Old News, a CBS All Access pilot created by Opus Moreschi with executive producer Stephen Tyrone Colbert.

Currently, Cooper performs all over her city and runs a monthly comedy show in the Lower East Side call You’re So Brave. She is also working on her next book, an Amazon Audio Original send up of Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People.
