First Woman to Play in Power 5 Football Game; Goalkeeper for the Vanderbilt Commodores Women's Soccer Team

Sarah Fuller is a goalkeeper for the Vanderbilt Commodores women's soccer team. She became the first woman to play in a Power 5 Football Game on November 28, 2020, when she delivered the opening kickoff of the second half in the Commodores' game against the Missouri Tigers.

Fuller was asked to kick by the football team as several of Vanderbilt's specialists had been exposed to COVID-19 and were unable to play in the game. During the game, she wore a helmet that said "Play Like A Girl" on the back, promoting the I Play Like A Girl Foundation, a nonprofit that encourages girls to play sports.

Fuller, a Wylie, Texas, native, is an SEC champion in women's soccer, having contributed three saves to help lead the Commodores to victory against Arkansas.
