Iranian-American Television Actress; Former NFL Cheerleader

Sarah Shahi is an American actress, best known for her performance in the television series ‘Life’. Born to an Iranian father and Spanish mother, Shahi’s mixed lineage helped her expand her vision beyond religion and region. Since a young age, Shahi dreamt of becoming an actress. She started modelling when she was barely eight and soon took the step ahead.

Shahi stars as Rachel Benham in the Showtime Original Series "City on a Hill" and Netflix’s Dolly Parton Anthology series "Heartstrings," in October 2019. Sarah recently starred on the NBC series "Reverie" and is best known for her roles on CBS’s "Person of Interest," the USA series "Fairly Legal" and the Showtime Original Series "The L Word." She received the 2012 Gracie Award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Breakthrough Role for her work in Fairly Legal. Other television credits include "Pitch," "Chicago Fire," "Life," "Reba," "The Sopranos," "Ray Donovan," "Alias" and "Teachers."

She recently wrapped production on the indie drama "Language Arts" and the indie comedy "Judy Small," starring opposite Rob Corddry in the William Teitler directed film based on the book by Nancy Doyne.

Shahi has starred in the feature films "Bullet to the Head," opposite Sylvester Stallone and the indie comedy "For Your Consideration," directed by Christopher Guest. Additional feature credits include "The Trouble with Bliss," "Shades of Ray," "Crossing Over," "I Don’t Know How She Does It," "Old School" and "Hangman," opposite Al Pacino and Karl Urban.
