Sasha Sagan is an author, a native of Ithaca, New York, and a graduate of NYU. She has worked as a writer, television producer, filmmaker, and editor in New York City, Boston and London. Her essays and interviews on death, history, travel and ritual through a scientific lens have appeared in New York Magazine, O. the Oprah Magazine, Literary Hub, Mashable.com and elsewhere. She is also a contributing editor for the British fashion magazine The Violet Book.

She lives in Boston with her husband and daughter. In 2019, she released her first book, "For Small Creatures Such As We."
