Saz Ross

Illustrator & CEO of Saz Factory Inc.

Saz Ross is a proud Latin artist, educator, and business owner. She operates a freelance illustration/creative workshop business called Saz Factory Inc. and uses illustrative storytelling as a vehicle for unlocking and elevating the creative mindset.

Ross's work embraces the feeling of being lost and rediscovering creativity through trauma, loss, and resilience. Her whimsical, playful, and curious imagery of people, architecture, nature, and wildlife allows viewers to question unusual juxtapositions of familiar subjects. Ross's high contrast artworks have been seen on record albums, skateboards, billboards, product labels, murals, and in stores/homes all over the globe.

Ross is no stranger to covering any surface with her doodles and enjoys sharing her art and story in educational and corporate settings with creative keynotes and workshops. As an award winning art educator, Ross enjoys facilitating professional development workshops and residencies with the Maryland State Department of Education, Maryland State Arts Council, Maryland Out of School Time Network, and the Maryland State Arts Council as a Roster Artist and College/Career Readiness Ambassador.

Ross is also devoted to building art programs for underserved communities across the Mid Atlantic region of the United States and has been able to impact thousands of students and educators in public schools, detention centers, 55 plus, and homeless communities. Saz is also the founder of an artist collective called The Print Pact (TPP). Her collective creates visibility for artists by having their work sold in brick and mortar stores. Ross makes it a point to feature new artists in her growing list of stores/partnerships every month in order to increase brand awareness for underground artists.

Ross is on a mission to show people how to live life in pen - where mistakes are embraced, not erased. We need to take ownership of all the decisions we make while allowing ourselves to be vulnerable and sharing our stories can turn vulnerability into vitality. Ross continues to inspire people to use their story as fuel for creativity, productivity, and community building while making positive and mindful changes in our world.
