Professor of Marketing at NYU Stern School of Business, Serial Entrepreneur & New York Times Best-Selling Author

Scott Galloway is a Marketing professor at the New York University Stern School of Business and a serial entrepreneur. Poets & Quants named him one of the world's best business professors. Galloway was also elected to the World Economic Forum's "Global Leaders of Tomorrow" in 1999 and is known for his TED-style talks, "Winners & Losers."

As an entrepreneur, Galloway founded several companies, including the brand and marketing consultancy firm Prophet, the e-commerce site RedEnvelope, the digital intelligence firm L2 Inc., and the online education startup Section4. He is also a public speaker and author, and he hosts "The Prof G Show" on CNN Plus and co-hosts the "Pivot" podcast.

Galloway has written multiple books, including "The Four: The Hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google" and "The Algebra of Happiness: Notes on the Pursuit of Success, Love, and Meaning." His incisive analysis of WeWork's IPO filing drew significant attention. His newsletter No Mercy/No Malice won the Webby Award and Webby's People's Voice Award.

With a reputation for frank and insightful commentary, Galloway has pushed for U.S. government antitrust intervention against Apple, Meta Platforms, Amazon, and Alphabet since 2017 and opposed Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency plans in July 2019. He has also called for taxing endowments of universities whose enrollment growth is not commensurate with population growth.

His service on the board of directors extends to Eddie Bauer, The New York Times Company, Gateway Computer, Urban Outfitters, and Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Galloway is committed to his role as an educator, donating 100% of his NYU compensation back to the university and advising his students to follow their talent rather than their passion.

Galloway's life and work have been portrayed in popular culture, with actor Kelly AuCoin playing him in the 2022 series "WeCrashed." He currently resides in London with his second wife and their two sons.
