Capping a twenty- five-year career in which he served as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, Scott Jeffrey Miller currently serves as an advisor to FranklinCovey on their thought leadership strategy. In that role, he hosts the world’s largest weekly leadership podcast, On Leadership with Scott Miller, featuring over 400 interviews during its six-year broadcast. Additionally, Scott hosted a second FranklinCovey sponsored podcast titled, C-Suite Conversations with Scott Miller, in which he interviewed the world’s top executives.
Miller is the author of the multivolume series Master Mentors: 30 Transformative Insights from Our Greatest Minds (HarperCollins Leadership), which features insights from his interviews with the leading thinkers of our time, including Seth Godin, Susan Cain, Stedman Graham, Stephen M. R. Covey, Liz Wiseman, Anne Chow, and many others. He is the coauthor of the Wall Street Journal bestseller Everyone Deserves a Great Manager: The 6 Critical Practices for Leading a Team (Simon & Schuster) and the Mess to Success series, including Management Mess to Leadership Success: 30 Challenges to Become the Leader You Would Follow, Marketing Mess to Brand Success: 30 Challenges to Transform Your Organization’s Brand (and Your Own) (Mango Publishing), and Parenting Mess to Launch Success: 30 Challenges to Build Lifelong Inuence and Relationships With Your Children (Ingram Spark), launching December 2024.
His sixth book, The Ultimate Guide to Great Mentorship: 13 Roles to Making a True Impact launched with HarperCollins Leadership on July 11, 2023. The mentoring insights in this book are being implemented in hundreds of organizations and universities around the world with both mentors and mentees. His seventh book which released February 20th, 2024, Career on Course: 10 Strategies to Take Your Career from Accidental to Intentional, was published by Baker Books and has become a seminal career guide to a broad audience from graduating college seniors to mid-career professionals.
Scott Miller is the co-founder of the Gray + Miller Agency, a speaking, literary, and talent agency representing some of the world’s foremost leaders, authors, and thinkers.
Miller has also authored a leadership column for Inc.com, helmed FranklinCovey’s Bookclub.com series with world-renowned authors, and hosted the weekly iHeart Radio show Great Life, Great Career.
Miller began his professional career in 1992 with the Disney Development Company (the real estate development division of Walt Disney Company) as a founding member of the development team that designed the town of Celebration, Florida.
Miller and his wife live in Salt Lake City, Utah, with their three sons.
