Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Andreessen Horowitz

Scott Kupor is managing partner of Andreessen Horowitz, the only VC group to have invested in Facebook, Twitter, Zynga AND Groupon, and to have raised $2.7 billion to invest in startups, in just the past three years. Kupor previously working as VP and general manager of Software-As-A-Service at Hewlett Packard. Kupor joined HP in 2007 as part of the Opsware acquisition, where he was senior vice president of Customer Solutions. In this role, he had global responsibility for all facets of customer interaction, including professional services, technical pre-sales and customer support. He provided Opsware with a mix of expertise in operations, financial management and strategic partnerships. Scott joined Opsware shortly after the company’s founding and held numerous executive management positions including vice president, financial planning and vice president, corporate development. In these roles, he led the company’s private financing activities as well as its initial public offering in 2001; he started the company’s Asia Pacific operations via strategic partnerships with NEC, NTT and Samsung; and he led the execution of the company’s acquisitions of Tangram, Rendition, Creekpath and iConclude. Kupor graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in public policy with honors and distinction. He also holds a law degree with distinction from Stanford University and is a member of the California Bar Association.
