Host of HGTV's "Moving the McGillivrays" & "Buyers Bootcamp"

Before graduating from The University of Guelph, with an Honors degree in Commerce, McGillivray had already discovered his calling. What began as an ambitious school project about income properties, developed into a unique and strategic business model that Scott would later execute himself. Now over 10 years later, McGillivray has built his own real estate empire with dozens of properties, housing hundreds of tenants.

Scott’s been a top rated HGTV star in the USA and Canada since 2008, when he debuted his award-winning show, "Income Property," which he hosted and executive produced for 11 seasons. During that time he helped hundreds of homeowners generate income from their homes and take control of their financial futures. In 2016 Scott let viewers into his personal life when he executive produced and starred in "Moving the McGillivrays," along with his wife Sabrina and their two little girls, Myah and Layla. The family-centered show gave viewers an unprecedented look into Scott’s home life as he and Sabrina built not just their own dream home, but a beautiful home for a deserving family in need. In 2018 Scott debuted his latest series, "Buyers Bootcamp" to television audiences across the USA and Canada. Scott also hosts a digital series, "Scott’s House Call," which is heading into its third season and is available via Facebook and Youtube.

McGillivray has also appeared in several other HGTV programs, such as "Debbie Travis' Facelift," "From the Ground Up with Debbie Travis," "Holiday Battle on the Block," "Canada's Handyman Challenge," and the "All American Handyman Challenge" alongside Mike Holmes. He has also appeared on such international programs as, CNN's "Your Money," "The Today Show," FOX News, "Entertainment Tonight," "Canada AM," "Cityline," and "Steven & Chris." He also serves as a guest expert on Canada's "Cityline" and the "Marilyn Denis Show."

In addition to his hosting duties, McGillivray's hands-on approach to renovation and real estate has meant big business for this knowledgeable investor. Not only does he purchase and renovate properties, host a successful television series, and contribute content to national publications, but McGillivray has added educator to his repertoire. In 2010, he launched "The Lifetime Wealth Academy," which was later named Keyspire in 2013, a company devoted to sharing his wealth of real estate knowledge with would-be property investors all over North America. He also started his own live speaking events titled Creating Wealth through Real Estate in 2013 to educate people about real estate investing. This event became #TheWealthTour in 2015. In 2014, McGillivray wrote his first home improvement book, "How to Add Value to your Home," in which he advises homeowners how to make the most of their renovation investments.
