Scott Riggs  

Scott Riggs (born January 1, 1971) is a NASCAR Nextel Cup driver from the Bahama community of Durham County, North Carolina.

Riggs is currently driver of the #10 Valvoline/Eagle One/Centrix Chevrolet for MBV racing. Other primary sponsors have included Rally's Hamburgers/Checkers Drive-In, the movie Herbie Fully Loaded and the band Nickelback. Riggs has 39 Nextel Cup starts with 4 top five finishes and 6 finishes in the top ten. On July 1, 2005, it was announced that Evernham Motorsports would be forming a new third team for the 2006 season using the #10 and Valvoline as both part-owner of the car and as the primary sponsor for 22 races. On August 27, 2005, Ray Evernham announced that Riggs would be the driver of that car.Scott Riggs is a shareholder in the firm of Kennedy & Graven, Chartered, and practices in the areas of business law, economic development and redevelopment, employment law, local government law, litigation, and real estate law.

Riggs currently is the city attorney for various Twin Cities' suburbs and is involved in the firm's representation of other cities, various economic development agencies, a utility commission, a cable commission and various townships. Before joining Kennedy & Graven in 1997, Riggs worked for two years as a congressional staff assistant for U.S. Rep. James Oberstar and for three years as an associate with a local law firm, practicing in the areas of municipal law, civil litigation, criminal prosecution and real estate law.
