Golden Globe Nominated Film Director, Screenwriter & Actor

Sebastian Silva is a director, screenwriter, and actor from Chile. He gained attention for his film The Maid, which was released in 2009. Silva co-wrote the script for the film after a frustrating visit to Hollywood and then directed it. It won several awards such as the Grand Jury Prize - World Cinema Dramatic at the Sundance Film Festival. It as also nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes, and the NAACP Awards.

In 2012, Silva wrote, directed, and produced the HBO TV comedy show The Boring Life of Jacqueline. The next year, Silva won the Sundance Directing Award: World Cinema for his movie Crystal Fairy.
