Sbastien Savage created and leads the Montral office Green Committee and is a member of the firms China practice group, Business Development Committee, Client-Relationship Committee and interview team of the Student Recruiting Committee.

Sbastien has represented a number of corporations of all sizes in a broad range of domestic and international transactions, focusing on corporate acquisitions and sales, mergers and other business combinations, infrastructure, outsourcing, private equity investments and real estate.

REPRESENTATIVE WORK

Acted for Laurentides Investissements S.A.S., a subsidiary of GDF Suez, in the sale of its interest in Noverco Inc., an investment company that controls natural gas distributor Gaz Metro, to the Caisse de dpt et placement du Qubec and Enbridge Inc.

Acted for Corus Entertainment Inc. on the sale of its Qubec radio stations to Cogeco Inc. in a deal valued at $80 million.

Acted as counsel to the Molson brothers, Geoff, Andrew and Justin, in connection with the acquisition of the Montral Canadiens Hockey Club by the investment group led by the Molson brothers. This transaction is considered to be one of the most significant acquisitions ever completed in professional sports in North America. The transaction also included the purchase of the Montral Bell Centre and the Gillett Entertainment Group.

Acted for Aldo Group as it entered into a multi-million dollar long-term agreement with IBM Canada Ltd., with respect to the provision by IBM of technology outsourcing services to Aldo Group.

Acted for Amcor Flexibles Netherlands Holding B.V., a subsidiary of Amcor Limited, in connection with its US$40-million acquisition of the Aluprint, S. de R.L. de C.V. tobacco packaging plant in Mexico.
