Founder & Chair of Girls Who Invest; Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management

Seema Hingorani is a senior client advisor to the Firm, a member of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Operating Committee, senior sponsor of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Diversity Council and chair of the Senior Advisory Board at Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners. She focuses on strategic client relationships, investment talent development and diversity initiatives across the Firm.

Hingorani is the founder and the chair of Girls Who Invest, a non-profit organization founded in 2015 dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2019, she was founder and chief investment officer of SevenStep Capital and the chief investment officer of the New York City Retirement Systems. Hingorani was recognized by Barron’s in 2021 as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in US Finance. She was also awarded the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur, the highest civil and military award in France, in 2021. Hingorani has over 30 years of financial services experience.

Hingorani has a BA in psychology and philosophy from Yale University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School.
