Seth Rogen

Actor, Comedian, Writer, Producer & Director Known for "Neighbors," "Knocked Up" & "The Green Hornet"; Alzheimer's Awareness Advocate

Seth Rogen is a Canadian actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director known for Knocked Up, Neighbors, and The Green Hornet. With his curly locks and Yogi Bear physique, Rogen was instantly embraced by audiences for his common-man appeal that stands in contrast to the typical Hollywood A-list types.

Rogen began his career after dropping out of high school by performing stand-up comedy in his hometown of Vancouver. While still living there, he landed a role in Judd Apatow’s “Freaks and Geeks,” which was canceled after only one season but has since gone on to become a cult classic. Rogen made his first movie appearance in Donnie Darko with a minor role in 2001. Rogen was cast in a supporting role and credited as a co-producer in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Universal Pictures subsequently cast him as the lead in Apatow's films Knocked Up and Funny People. Rogen co-starred as Steve Wozniak in Universal's Steve Jobs biopic in 2015. In 2016, he developed the AMC television series “Preacher” with his writing partner Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin. He also serves as a writer, executive producer, and director, with Goldberg.

Rogen is also a prominent Alzheimer’s disease awareness advocate. Although no one in his biological family has it, it has affected his wife’s mother for several years. “I think until you see it firsthand, it’s kind of hard to conceive of how brutal it is,” Rogen said to CNN. During that interview, he talked about how he tries to be as supportive as possible and around for his wife’s mother. He testified about the disease before a U.S. Senate subcommittee on February 26, 2014. Rogen started the Hilarity for Charity movement, to inspire change and raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease among millennials.
