Shahar Isaac was born and reared in the Jewish state of Israel. He relocated to the United States and attended Rutgers University to study Fine Arts. Isaac studied acting under-seasoned director/producer David Esbjornson and Barbara Marchant at the university. He eventually started his performing career in college theater.

Isaac earned a large following and fan base with the success of The Chosen.
